Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of LearnAhead. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to them.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian’s permission, you must have it. Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials private, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Educational and AI features

Maya is one AI assistant across Study Space and Reflect, providing explanations, worked solutions, practice, writing feedback, and wellbeing conversations. Maya is not a licensed therapist, healthcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional care. Voice replies are AI-generated. AI output, calculator results, and extracted calendar or syllabus information can be incomplete or incorrect. Review generated content and confirm assignments, deadlines, grading rules, and other important information with the original source or a qualified person.

The AI checker reviews writing for generic or AI-like phrasing; it cannot establish who wrote it or reliably determine whether AI was used. Study help does not override your school’s rules about permitted assistance or work you submit as your own. Maya’s read-only account context and shared memory are described in our Privacy Policy.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States and its territories, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Acceptable use

You may not use LearnAhead to break the law, harm another person, bypass academic rules, impersonate someone, probe or disrupt the service, access another user’s information, distribute malware, overload automated features, or upload content you do not have the right to use. Your school’s academic integrity and technology rules still apply.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You give LearnAhead a limited permission to host, copy, process, and transmit that content only as needed to provide the features you request, secure and operate the service, and comply with law. You are responsible for your content and for having permission to upload it.

LearnAhead’s service

LearnAhead and its branding, software, design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service. They do not transfer ownership of LearnAhead or permit copying, reselling, reverse engineering, or commercially exploiting the service except where the law does not allow that restriction.

Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

LearnAhead offers a Free plan. Eligible users can choose an optional 14-day Plus trial without a payment card instead. Choosing the trial alone does not authorize a charge or start a paid subscription. When that free access ends, the account returns to Free unless you separately subscribe or have another active Plus entitlement. Saved workspace content remains in your account, subject to the applicable plan’s limits. Trial eligibility is limited to prevent repeated claims through account deletion and recreation.

LearnAhead Plus is billed through Stripe at the price and billing interval shown before checkout. A recurring subscription renews automatically until canceled. Open your profile, then Subscription → Manage billing, to view billing details and cancel. The Stripe portal shows when cancellation takes effect and whether access continues through the current billing period. If you choose a paid subscription during free access, checkout shows when the first charge will occur; cancel before that date to avoid the scheduled charge.

Charges are generally non-refundable after a billing period begins unless the checkout terms say otherwise or the law requires a refund. For a duplicate, incorrect, or exceptional charge, email support@learnahead.org with the account email and charge date. Do not send full card details. Taxes, trials, discounts, and promotions are governed by the terms displayed when offered.

Referral rewards

The referral offer awards one 30-day Plus reward per user after three new accounts are created through their personal referral link. Duplicate accounts, self-referrals, and fraudulent activity do not qualify. Normal Plus usage limits apply. Rewards require no payment card and do not automatically create a paid subscription. A user with an active paid Plus membership retains the reward to redeem after that membership ends; it does not cancel or refund existing Stripe charges.

Connected services

LearnAhead may connect with services such as Canvas, calendar providers, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Stripe. Their availability and terms are outside LearnAhead’s control. LearnAhead is not affiliated with or endorsed by your school, Canvas, or Instructure. Removing information from LearnAhead does not remove it from a connected source.

Availability, limits, and account action

The service and beta features may change, experience interruptions, or be removed. AI actions, attachments, conversation size, storage, and voice time may have separate limits shown in the service. Live voice has daily and monthly allowances and requires a supported device, microphone permission, and an internet connection. We may apply plan and usage limits and may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, address nonpayment, or enforce these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

LearnAhead is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use

You may stop using LearnAhead at any time. Cancel an active paid Plus subscription before deleting your account and follow the billing status shown in Manage billing. Open your profile to find Download my data and Delete my account under Your account. Deleting an account removes its saved workspace from both the website and app. Sections that reasonably need to survive account closure, including payment obligations, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, and liability limits, remain effective.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate for a material change. Questions, billing concerns, copyright concerns, and support requests can be sent to support@learnahead.org.
